Due to FONHARE’s commitment through its participatory and inclusive humanitarian approach called:
“from the community, to the community and for the community” which allows it to act without leaving anyone behind. In July 2018, Mr. Mark Lowcock Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) the United Nations (UN-OCHA) introduced FONHARE as a “MODEL OF INCLUSION” at the World Disability Summit in London.
