COMMEMORATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
Each year FONHARE takes care to carry out an activity on December 3 to commemorate this date and promote the rights of people with disabilities. This December 3, 2023 on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Haitian Rehabilitation Foundation #FONHARE commemorated this date under the theme “Let’s act to build an inclusive society where everyone can have access to health care and rehabilitation and demonstrate their capabilities”. We held a peaceful march and a football match on the Manquette playground between the Amputee Football Club Association of Cap-Haitian and the women’s team of Vapor Ouanaminthe. These two activities were carried out to raise awareness of everyone’s commitment to an inclusive society where people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as others. “Human diversity is an imposition, we must learn to live together even if we are different” We are different but equal in rights and before God” insisted Dr. Ivens LOUIUS the president of #FONHARE.
