World Health Day Commemoration

On April 7, 2025, the Haitian Rehabilitation Foundation #fonhare, a humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting an inclusive and resilient society and providing health and rehabilitation care, in partnership with Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion, is holding a day of major awareness and promotion of maternal and neonatal mental health, around the theme chosen by the World Health Organization (WHO): “Good health at birth for a future full of hope.” More than 200 people participated in this campaign.

These awareness and training sessions enabled more than 200 people to:

• Identify signs of psychological distress during pregnancy and postpartum.

• Learn about available care centers in the northeast region for early intervention.

• Identify deficiencies for timely referral to FONHARE’s rehabilitation services for optimal care.

Strengthening community health capacities means combating health inequalities between populations.

Many thanks to our ASCPs involved in the field and to our partner Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion for the success of the awareness day.
