How will you be useful?

What are you going to do?

It all depends on your skills. For professionals specializing in rehabilitation: Since we have a rehabilitation clinic and our staff is 100% Haitian, you may be asked to teach continuing medical education (CME) courses, conferences and participate to seminars which can last from 1 to 3 days. In some cases, you may work side-by-side with staff to treat patients.

For general medical teams, participating in conferences or seminars, giving additional consultations and assisting other staff in rehabilitation care may be the main objective of your visit. Sometimes we receive requests for volunteers in other areas. Again, this will depend on your profession. Support team or lay members may be tasked with assisting in community focus groups, carrying out minor repairs or building, painting, cleaning or other activities as identified and requested.
